In less than a year with the company, she earned the Century 21 Masters Ruby Award for 2025, building her reputation on heartfelt service for first-time homebuyers, veterans, seniors, and investors. Inspired by her mother’s philosophy of genuine care, Sonia brings warmth, patience, and expert negotiation to every transaction.

Some agents sell houses. Sonia Rivera changes lives — one family, one closing day, one dream at a time. In less than a year with Century 21 Masters, she has already made her mark on the High Desert real estate market with a level of dedication that goes far beyond the transaction.
Approaching her one-year anniversary with Century 21 Masters this October, Sonia has already earned the Century 21 Masters Ruby Award for 2025 — a meaningful milestone that reflects the trust her clients have placed in her. With a 4.9-star rating across 73 verified reviews on Realtor.com and 24 years of real estate experience, she brings deep expertise and an even deeper commitment to the people she serves. Her DRE license number is 01343357.
Sonia’s love for real estate didn’t begin with a job posting — it began with a television program and a spark of curiosity at age 18. “I became fascinated with real estate investing after watching Carlton Sheets and learning about the benefits of homeownership and building wealth through real estate,” she shares. “That passion has stayed with me ever since.” Decades later, that same enthusiasm drives her every day as she helps families across Southern California’s High Desert region achieve their real estate goals.
Sonia specializes in listing homes throughout the High Desert, including Hesperia, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto, Oak Hills, Phelan, and surrounding Southern California communities. She has a particular passion for working with first-time homebuyers, veterans, seniors, and investors — client groups that often require extra patience, education, and advocacy to navigate the homebuying process successfully.
Her credentials include the Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification and the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) designation, equipping her to guide clients through a wide range of market conditions and transaction types.
Ask Sonia about her proudest accomplishments and she won’t reach for a sales volume figure. “What I’m most proud of isn’t a number — it’s seeing clients become homeowners, helping sellers move on to the next chapter of their lives, and building lasting relationships,” she says. That philosophy is evident in every story she tells about her work.
One recent win captures her approach perfectly: she helped first-time homebuyers purchase their home with very little money out of pocket. Through skilled negotiation, she secured the seller’s agreement to cover closing costs, and the buyers also received a brand-new air conditioner and a new septic system before closing. “Watching their excitement on closing day was incredibly rewarding,” Sonia reflects.
Among all the transactions Sonia has navigated, one stands out above the rest. She helped a couple in their early seventies purchase their very first home — a dream they had waited a lifetime to achieve. “They were previously living in a very small place where their children could only visit them outside,” she recalls. “It was such a blessing to help them achieve a dream they had waited a lifetime for.” It is the kind of moment that reminds her exactly why she chose this profession.
For Sonia, exceptional service isn’t a marketing phrase — it’s a personal standard she lives by. When a client family was relocating a significant distance without family nearby to help them move, Sonia didn’t just hand them a set of keys. She rented a truck and personally helped them transport their belongings to their new home. “Real estate is about more than buying and selling houses — it’s about caring for people,” she says simply.
Sonia’s experience also shines in challenging, high-stakes situations. She recently worked with a family following the passing of their father, only to discover that several properties had unintentionally been left out of the trust — creating a complex probate situation. Rather than stepping back from the difficulty, Sonia leaned in. Through patience, consistent communication, and close collaboration with all parties involved, she successfully sold three of the properties, with the final one currently in escrow and expected to close soon.
Sonia credits one of her greatest influences — her mother — with shaping the way she approaches every client relationship. Her mother was a beautician who treated every client with patience, kindness, and genuine care. “Her customers loved her because she made them feel valued,” Sonia shares. “She taught me that serving people isn’t just about doing a job — it’s about making them feel cared for. That’s the same philosophy I bring to my real estate business every day.”
When she isn’t helping clients, Sonia recharges by spending time outdoors — hiking, being near water, and walking among trees. She also enjoys crafts and creative projects, and treasures time with her granddaughters, family, and her fur baby. Her creative eye even informs a professional alter ego: if she weren’t in real estate, she imagines herself as a home stager, interior decorator, or perhaps the owner of a landscaping business or clothing boutique.
Sonia has been there every step of the way even when we couldn’t buy our first home three years ago and she still was there till this day trying to help us out and understanding our situation helping us get into a home with basically nothing down. She’s very honest and straightforward and determined to get the best deal for us.

Looking back on her journey, Sonia has clear wisdom she’d pass along to a newer version of herself: “Stay organized, use a schedule, set timers, and focus on one task at a time.” She’d also encourage getting involved in the community, attending events, building genuine relationships, sending just-listed and just-sold mailers, and committing to always keep learning. It’s the kind of grounded, practical advice that reflects how she actually operates every day.
