Some agents will tell you they treat clients like family. Mina Hong has the rare proof to back it up: last year, 100% of her business came from repeat clients and referrals. No cold leads, no luck — just people who trusted her once and came back, then sent their friends.
That single number says more about Mina than any sales pitch could. So does the C21 Centurion award she recently earned, one of Century 21’s highest honors for production. But to understand how she got here, you have to start with where she came from.
Before real estate, Mina built a career in finance — an MBA with a focus in finance and experience at a Wall Street capital management firm. That background isn’t a footnote on her resume; it’s how she thinks. She reads a deal the way an analyst reads a balance sheet: carefully, strategically, and always with the client’s long-term wealth in mind.
“If I weren’t a real estate agent, I’d probably be a financial advisor,” she says. “I love analyzing numbers and helping people make smart decisions that create long-term wealth. I still bring that mindset into real estate every day.”
Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Mina bridges cultural and linguistic gaps for local and international clients alike — a quiet superpower in Southern California’s diverse market.
Mina specializes in residential and luxury homes, investment properties, relocation, and lease transactions across Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and the surrounding Southern California markets — including Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Calabasas, Simi Valley, Newbury Park, Moorpark, and Camarillo. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, a seller wanting top-dollar exposure, or an investor hunting for the right opportunity, she meets you where you are.
Mina’s most memorable transaction started with a phone call from a stranger. He found her, called out of the blue, and interviewed her five separate times before trusting her with the listing of his home.
“At first I thought I was simply earning one listing,” she recalls. But that one deal became a relationship. She sold his home, then helped him buy two more properties, and he has referred clients to her ever since. “Real estate is never just about one deal. It’s about earning trust and proving your value over time.”
One client dreamed of owning a home but faced a wall of obstacles — credit that needed work, a complicated investment-property situation, and a traditional loan path that simply wasn’t working.
Instead of walking away, Mina assembled a team and a strategy. She connected her client with a lender who built a creative loan solution, brought in a credit specialist to strengthen her qualification, and structured terms with a For-Sale-By-Owner seller to push the deal forward. It took patience and a lot of coordination — but her client became a homeowner.
“Those are the moments I love most,” Mina says, “when I get to be creative, resourceful, and truly help someone change their life.”
Real estate rarely goes exactly to plan. Mina recently had a buyer already in escrow when life turned upside down — unexpected personal, health, employment, and family challenges all hit at once. The deal could have collapsed more than once.
She stayed calm, kept every party communicating, and moved the process forward one step at a time, coordinating closely with the lender, escrow, and the other side. They closed.
“That experience reminded me an agent has to be more than a salesperson,” she says. “Sometimes our job is to be the steady person in the room, protect the client’s goal, and help everyone get to the finish line.”
Mina consistently did an outstanding job as our realtor… we gained a deep respect for the expertise, effort, and dedication required to be a truly effective realtor.

Ask Mina what she does for fun and she’ll laugh: “I love to dance — especially silly dancing where I can laugh at myself.” Life and real estate can both get intense, and she protects the moments where she can be playful and not take everything too seriously.
She knew this was the right career the moment she realized how excited she gets walking through a home — seeing its potential, its details, its story. “But even more than that, I knew it when so many of my clients became good friends after the transaction. That relationship side of real estate means everything to me.”
Her advice to her first-year self? “Be patient. Success doesn’t happen in one day. Stay consistent, keep showing up, and trust the process. One day, all the seeds you planted will bloom.”
Mina is a Chinese immigrant and a single mom of two who believes in hard work, courage, and dreaming big. Her path hasn’t always been easy, and that’s exactly why she shows up the way she does.
“I especially want other women to know: believe in yourself. You’re stronger than you think. When you make up your mind, stay consistent, and keep moving forward, you can achieve more than you ever imagined.”
What drives her every day, she says, is simple — her family, her clients, and the chance to help people build a better life through real estate.
